At the start of the show, Jesse's last name was "Cochran". Starting from the second season, it was changed to "Katsopolis" to reflect John Stamos' heritage as a Greek American.

Not only his last name, but also Jesse's first name was changed. Initially, John Stamos would play a character named "Adam Cochran", but by his request, the first name was changed to "Jesse" before the show started.

The Tanner family would originally have the last name "Crawford", but this was changed before the show started.

D.J. was originally called "Jennifer", but her name was also changed to D.J. before the show started.

Another name change can be found with Steve, who was DJ's boyfriend for a while. When we first met him, he was known as "Steve Peters" but later on this was changed to "Steve Hale".

There's a difference in the order episodes were recorded and the order they were broadcasted in. Sometimes this is notable because of continuity issues. For instance, in episode 131 "Designing Mothers" Vicky's mother redecorates the room of Stephanie and Michelle. Then in episode 134 "Birthday Blues" they are suddenly in their old room and in the following episodes they are in the redecorated room again. So apparently episode 134 was shot before episode 131!

In the season 1 episode "Joey's Place", Janice Sweetin, adoptive mom of Jodie Sweetin, and Barbara Cameron, Candace's mother, made a guest appearance.

Joey has a mannequin in his room, called “Manny”. If you look closely, you’ll see that most of the time, Manny is wearing the exact same outfit as Joey.
